TUTORIAL: INTRO TO PHOTO/VIDEO FUSION USING PHOTOSHOP CS6 BETA

Hi Everyone!

This is a very simple intro to working with video in Photoshop CS6.  I am still figuring it out myself, so please bear with me and if you know something that I do not please feel free to tell me!  I am going to keep it pretty simple, if you have any questions about anything I did in my video let me know.

For the purpose of this tutorial, I assume you already know how to use Photoshop.

Here is my first attempt at fusion video:

This is the first time I have ever put together any kind of tutorial!  I hope it is clear!!!    Thanks!

A few tips to know before starting:

  • The bottom section of the screen is the timeline
  • Your video is on a timeline
  • You can and will have multiple tracks of video layered on one-another in your timeline
  • Each video clip or photo that you add to your track creates a layer in the layers pallet.
  • The layers in the layers pallet are ordered chronologically (the same way they appear on the timeline, so if you move a clip in the timeline, it automatically moves in the layers pallet)
  • Cutting refers to splitting a video for the purpose of removing parts or adding things in-between parts
